Am I eating to little/consuming to little calories?!


Question: Am I eating to little/consuming to little calories.?
I am 19 years young, 5 foot 10 inches tall, size 10/12 trousers, size 6/8 top.

I have not been dieting, but I have been told I do not eat enough so I was to record all I eat and what I exercised.

For Monday:
I ate 1,484.5 calories with no gym.

For yesterday (a average tuesday) :
I ate 1,426.25 calories, and burned off 505+ at the gym.

I pretty much go to the gym every Tuesday & Thursday, and on Thursday I tend to burn between 600 - 800.


I tend to eat pretty much the same amount/things each day during the week....
I have a cereal for breakfast with milk, soup for lunch with orange juice, (breakfast & lunch eaten at work) and always have a home cooked meal for dinner during the week - although sometimes for example I will just have the mince from mince and tatties, or spaghetti from bolognese.. my snacks tend to include: Quavers crisps, 2x fizzy drinks, chocolate bar per day.

Sometime I eat large portions and other times small, depends how hungry I am and/or what I am doing.

Answers:
THE SHORT ANSWER IS yes and also no.
For a lady the average calorie consumption recommendation is around 2000 colories.
For weight loss the calorie recommendation is approx 1500, which more or less is what you're eating. If you are buring a good amount in the gym as you are you will obviously loose weight faster.
also, to throw another spanner in the works, it isn't only calories, its eating a healthy
balanced diet, ie, you could easily consume 1500 calories in one meal but this would do you no good.

You should have swapped Monday and Tuesday around. You need more calories when you're visitng the gym. If your eating that many snakcs it doesn't seem like your geting enough nutriants. Health Question & Answer
