Question: How can I lose 1 n 1/2lb a week, starting from tommorow.?
I want to continue for 12 weeks - New years day.

try this it worked for me
i am a 17 year old female who weighs approximately 50 kilos and I am 168cm in height. I go to the gym three times a week for an hour of cardio (mainly on the cross trainer) and according to the machines i burn about 850-950 calories each time. ( i know the machines aren't that accurate).
My daily diet is ;
Breakfast: all bran with semi skimmed milk and 2 pieces of fruit ussually nectarines. (300 calories ish)
Snack: apple (50 calories)
Lunch; turkey sandwich (whole meal break and turkey slices no spread) (150 calories)
Snack; will bar (213 calories)
Dinner; varied but consists of 300 calories. tonight i had a fish cake, green beans and noodles.
Dessert; 250 calories..maybe and icecream or yohgurt and bar
Supper; cereal with semi skimmed milk (allbran or special k) with a piece of fruit (250-300 calories)

I drink two litres of water each day and i have about two diet drinks and two cups of green tea.

It's possible. It is known that if you eat 1800 or less calories a day your body stays in a constant state of starvation and your exercise regement will make your body start burning fat as an energy source. The best thing to do is eat any carbs early in the morning and none after that. When you eat first thing when you wake up this kicks your metabolism into high gear all day but you will be hungry more often.Health Question & Answer

hey i think that all it will take for you to lose 1.5lb/wk (which, by the way, is a really healthy rate of weight loss, so good for you for setting a reasonable goal) will be some smart decision-making about foods, and a moderate amount of activity per day.

that may mean just really paying attention to your food intake and portion size. paying attention to all the stuff you put into your mouth - even the little handfuls of things in between meals and all the beverages you drink. and "activity-wise" - think about putting in at least a half hour of activity a day. That doesn't have to mean "going to the gym everyday." it can mean taking a brisk walk during your lunch break.

anyways, you might want to visit diet.com because they just started a 6-week weight loss challenge (http://www.diet.com/weight-loss-challeng... that might be a great source of motivation for you for the first 6 weeks of your journey. it's free to join and i swear the people (mostly ladies) who participate are incredibly friendly and supportive and encouraging. you should check it out.
