All exercises help lower cholesterol. Just be active. Cardio is especially effective. Think in terms of power walking, jogging, biking, skating, swimming laps, jumping rope, dancing, racquetball, and jumping jacks. As for foods, basically try to eat as healthy as possible. Avoid eating a lot of red meat although once in a while is fine--just don't have steak every night.
