The problem is you're on a diet. Diets restrict your intake and your food choice. Not only is this frustrating, but even if you do end up losing the weight, you gain it right back because you cannot eat like that for the rest of your life.

Instead of going with what fad diet sounds the easiest or most extreme, start eating properly. Eat healthful, natural foods. Exercise with weight training, cardio, and yoga several times a week. Exercising not only increases your fitness level and weight loss, but also forces you to think about what you're putting into your body to fuel it properly.

I didn't lose about 100lbs in about 10 months by putting myself on some dumb Mickey Mouse cutesy little diet. Health Question & Answer

I always find the motivation question about staying on a diet an interesting one... because the moment I feel as if something is a 'hafta' (in other words I have to stick to this or that) I struggle with motivation. But when I'm doing something that is a 'wanna' (in other words I want to do it) then I'm pulled along and actually don't need any motivation whatsoever. So the big trick is to know what to do to turn a hafta into a wanna.

I'm not at all surprised that you struggle on diet - they are unnatural which is exactly why they take willpower to stay on and you can't live like that forever. But when you start listening to your body - then you won't need willpower. You can read much more about this atHealth Question & Answer

Some great ways to stay motivated are to talk about it with friends or to actually go on the diet with a friend. That way if you fall off track the other person can help encourage you. also you have to mentally decide that you want to lose weight and stick to the diet. Health Question & Answer
