Definitely ok. My girl and I do this all the time when we're cutting fat. Doesn't affect fat loss if you do it only once a week.

In any diet, you need to give yourself about 10% "latitude". This means that if you eat 3 meals per day, i.e. 21 meals per week, 2 of your meals can be "cheat" meals, where you get to indulge without having to feel guilty. This keeps things fun and helps to keep you sane too. Diets can be very tough psychologically. That said, this is not an excuse to go hog wild on your two cheat meals. Just eat whatever you like, but don't stuff your face till you're about to explode. :)

I'd advise this:

Have a salad each (balsamic vinaigrette dressing) or share one if it's huge.

Then share a pasta. The fibre from the salad will slow the absorption of the carbs in the pasta and this will prevent a drastic spike in your insulin levels (which pasta tends to do). Fat loss is all about controlling insulin.

If possible, choose a tomato based sauce for your pasta like arrabiata. Alio oglio is my personal favourite. It's the healthiest too. But many people find it too bland.Health Question & Answer

No not at all, but go for a pasta dish with no cream sauce and instead a tomato sauce. I recommend arabiatta, or a tomato sauce. Stay away from meatballs and cheese also. Have a great night and remember that without a treat once in a while you are torturing yourself and will cave in and pig out eventually if you dont have a treat once in a while.
