I do 200 power lunges, 20 mintues of crunches, and eat 1000 calories a day. How long to lose 15lbs?!


Question: I do 200 power lunges, 20 mintues of crunches, and eat 1000 calories a day. How long to lose 15lbs.?
I really want to lose it.
I want a firmer stomach so I do an ab workout [which is basically all crunches] for 20 minutes.
And do 200 power lunges [where you lunge and jump when switching legs].
How long til I can lose 15lbs.?

Actually, if you're only eating 1000 calories a day, you're putting your body into "starvation mode" and your body will do anything it can to hold onto the fat you have. Your body will "eat away" at your muscles before it ever touches your fat reserves. The healthier way to lose weight, and to keep it off, is simply to eat the number of calories your body needs to sustain your healthy, ideal weight.

I'm using the diet I've linked to below. I'm currently way too busy with school to even think of having enough free time to exercise (props to you, by the way) and after one week of watching what I eat and sitting on my butt doing homework, I've lost 3 pounds.

You have to burn or use 3500 calories to loose 1 pound.
With your lunges and everything you will probably gain muscle mass which is good because it is leaner than fat (which is bulky) so the scale will move slowly but your body will get tighter - remember the more muscle you have the more calories you burn in a day. Your boobs will not sag but they may or may not get a little smaller since you can't controle where you loose fat. You probably will have to get new bra's since your band width will change.

You can average one pound a week if you cut 350 calories from your regular diet everyday and do enough cardio to burn 300calories x5days per week (30min on an eliptical or stairmaster etc) add that to your power lunges and crunches and you will be on the way.

If you loose weight too quick you could get saggy skin so don't rush it and don't starve yourself or your metabolism will go into hybernation mode and you won't loose any weight at all and your body will burn muscle instead of fat for energy which = rolls instead of abs!

For more fun try a cardio kick box class it will include cardio and strength training together in one hour. If you change up your fitness routine you won't end up in a slump or plateau.
