Question: I weigh 120, trying to get to 110. Need info on calories.?
If I want to lose 10 pounds, and I'm currently a woman weighing 120, how many calories would I need to consume (or not consume) during the day.?

I'm not even sure what is a normal amount of calories for me. I'm assuming it would be less then the typical daily 2500 because I'm shorter than average and relatively small framed (5' tall). also, what about exercise.? Any advice there.?Health Question & Answer

enter your desired weight, and calculate. Then consume this amount of calories, and gently diet yourself into your desired weight. This way, you won't have to change your diet afterwards.
For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you

but... do you know roughly how many calories you consume on a normal (nondieting) day.? because a pound=3500 calories, so in order to lose a pound a week, you need to eat 3500 less calories a week. e.g. if you normally eat 2000 calories a day, try 1500.

if you're not exercising regularly now, i'd suggest starting with walks up to an hour in length, as many days a week as possible. try upping the length and speed as you become more accustomed to the exercise.Health Question & Answer

It is not need to count calories. I suggest you to change a bit your nutrition. Eat and stop eating when you feel that you have room for more food in your stomach.
