It's not that it's "bad" not to eat it - it's that it is "better" and "good for you" TO eat breakfast. Having something healthy in the morning jump-starts your metabolism, getting your stomach, fat-burning, and intestines in motion for the day ahead. The immediate carbs/sugars also give you energy, which makes it easier to wake-up and be active upon waking. Studies show that people who eat breakfast tend to lose weight and sustain health weights and lifestyles, because they general have better metabolism and eating habits. also, if you eat first thing in the morning instead of waiting until midday when you may be "properly hungry," you avoid pigging out at lunch or succumbing to the "sweet cravings" that often develop when we don't get our sugars in the morning.
If eating breakfast makes you feel ill, chances are it's simply because you are eating a bit too early. For me, I like to just have my tea or coffee in the morning when I wake, then have breakfast after I've been up an hour or so, because I too feel a bit ill if I have it too close to waking when I'm not yet hungry. It's OK to eat when your not really craving food at breakfast - because a) you will eat less and b) you are probably not hungry because your digestion has been on pause while you slept. It needs the boost.
Try eating a light breakfast if you aren't used to the morning meals - kipper and bacon might not sit too nicely, but you should be good with some cereal or fruit!Health Question & Answer

Presuming you haven't eaten anything since dinner the night before, not eating breakfast means you have been more than 12 hours without food. You are essentially running your engine on fumes, with the body having to break down fat to convert to glucose just to maintain minimum blood sugar levels. Perhaps the reason you have digestive problems is more due to what you eat for breakfast than the fact you eat it. Going for extended periods without food means your body functions in a series of peaks in blood sugar followed by long periods of very low levels. There is evidence that sets you up to develop insulin resistance problems later in life, and you are more prone to develop Type 2 diabetes. The trick is to maintain as even a burn, with even blood sugar levels, and to avoid the radical peaks and drops cycle. If you are not hungry enough for a full meal, that's fine. It's still best to break the fast with a small amount of something, preferably a whole grain which will stick to the ribs and give a longer "burn" for digestion. You can always eat small amounts evenly distributed through the day, rather that two large meals. You body runs best when there is adequate fuel to do it, like your car, it runs poorly on fumes and you will not enjoy peak performance.Health Question & Answer

Its bad if you're dieting because eating breakfast helps your body's metabolism, if your body keeps digesting you don't hold on to food as much [basically]
also if you eat breakfast you won't be as hungry later on and thus avoid pigging out later.Health Question & Answer
