Question: I need to gain weight while working out. please help!.?!.?
i have the working out part down, i just need my eating habits to assist in the wieght gaining process. along with me building muscle mass by working out everyother day. Health Question & Answer

Have carbs with every meal. Yams are a good idea. Always always have carbs. And protein. So eat clean and eat well but you are on a bulking cycle.

If you are serious about adding clean muscle mass (and not fat) then you need to have a plan. First you need to figure out what are you already eating - fat, protein and carbs. Keep a food journal. Once you know what you basic diet is then you need to pump it up a little. Add extra carbs and protein AFTER you work and and before bed. This will help ensure insulin spikes that will boost muscle growth.

Make sure you are taking in 1-2 grams of protein per pound of body weight.

Take 4 grams of carbs per gram of protein.

Make sure you have enough GOOD fat. EFA - essential fatty acids. They are called essential for a reason - you will not be able to build much/any muscle with out them. Use a supplement if you don't think you get enough in your diet.Health Question & Answer
