Question: How do I lose 25 pounds.?
I lost 30 pounds last year since then i have had a hard time losing the rest of the weight. Some days I don't have much of an appetite and I dont eat much more than 500 calories some days I eat a lot of junk. I haven't gained weight but have not lost any more. First of all, quit with the 500 calorie diet! You need to eat consistently well over a period of time to lose weight and keep it off. The up and down thing doesn't work!

That means understand the food pyramid, the food groups, the recommended servings, etc. That is how you should eat for life! If you eat that way and have 3 small, healthy meals a day and 2 small, healthy snacks, you will lose weight. Each meal should be less than 400 calories and each snack should be about 100-150 calories. Eating highly nutritious foods is the key, so think in terms of lean protein, veggies, whole-grains, fruits, low-fat dairy, and heart-healthy oils.

The second option is to do a short-term "drastic diet" that is designed to last for 2 weeks max. This would take off the most weight rapidly. There are several on the site under "Diet Plans" but my favorite is the 5-4-3-2-1 diet.

Wow. No wonder you don't have an appetite. You're making your body go haywire with your diet. 500 calories a day means that you are losing muscle. A lot of muscle. You need at least, I heard from Dr. Oz, something around 1500 in males to 1200 or so in females to retain muscle. What's more important than your actual weight is your fat percentage, more crucial a number than any. Rather than trying to shed off pounds, rework your diet to exclude fats (which, unfortunately, tells your brain that you are satisfied and keeps you satisfied between meals) and eat small meals, throughout the day. Try not to eat when you're starving as you're more inclined to eat large quantities. If you get mucle, you actually look smaller because it weighs less than fat. Woah dude, isn't that a lot of weigh to lose.? First you have to think about how much you weigh now. If you're above average on weighing meter, then exercise more often. Do not try to become anorexic or anything. Eat as healthy as possible, but do exercise almost everyday.Health Question & Answer

You need more than 500 calories, that i definetly not enough. Just eat healthier and try to be more active. It does not happen overnight so you have to give it time. You'll slowly start to see results. I did a search and found this site that has some basic but pretty good tips on how to lose weight. I hope it helps and good luck:
