Question: Please, suggest me ways to lose weight...?
I'm 18, 121 lbs 5'3 i find it hard to lose weight because i have a naturally curvy build. I want to lose weight and also tone up i already do crunches, dancing, stair training and occasionally running. I eat three meals a day and avoid all snacks but i don't seem to be losing much weight at all.. my legs are just muscle and i was hoping they would get skinnier.
any suggestions.?
are crunches a good exercise for toning your stomach or should i try other ways.?Health Question & Answer

First suggestion, mentally shift from losing weight to losing fat. Weight is fine. Having good muscle tone is extremely sexy. Don't worry about the number on the scale.

Losing fat requires a few key factors:
1> Increase your overall muscle mass to burn more calories all the time
2> Spread out your means into 5-6 meals a day (eat every 3 hours or so)
3> Exercise frequently.

You sound like someone that is active but mostly with your lower body. That means you can probably quickly add a little bit of muscle to your upper body that will give you great tone to your arms. Bonus on the chest because it will make your bust line a bit firmer. Sorta like a natural wonder bra. Adding in things like a machine bench press, cable rows, and a few shoulder and arm workouts will help you burn calories and build muscle.

Eat more often. I know it sounds odd but split your meals into 6 even ones and have protein with every meal. This will keep your metabolism higher, reduce insulin shock (which happens when you eat a ton of carbs at once - your body just stores the extra as fat) and will make you feel fuller.

also drink water all the time. Try to get 10 or 12 glasses.

well to start off to be 121 pounds at any height is a great healthy balanced weight for a girl, for some people its just the way their bodies are built because it seems that you have obviously been trying to tone down, what I may suggest is.. where you said you avoid all snacks... possibly eat small snacks such as berries and grapes and other kinds of healthy fruits and what not every 2 hours or so to atleast keep your metabolism active and also i don't know if you enjoy spicy food buy just having a little bit of any kind of "spice" on your food will also kick start your metabolismHealth Question & Answer

You seem to be doing everything right.I have a very muscular body and it's hard for me to lose weight too because the muscle weighs a lot.It sux.Crunches are good but a bit dull,I reccomend 8 minute abs on youtube.

well,you need to eat more fruits,such as lemon juice,& orange.no sugar" You must not eat too much meats,but eat more salads,or be 4 going to sleep.
