Question: Best way to tone as a 16 year old.?
Hi,
I'm a 16 year old boy that loves his sport but is a tad overweight. I don't really have to lose weight just tone up. I just want to tone up and lose my bit of a gut which is hardly anything, and I have, not man boobs, haha u could say they are but if they are they are just nothing anyway. Does anyone know of anyway weights exercises or other exercises not involving weights. It would be very much appreciated. Health Question & Answer

I Would Recommend Push Ups, Sit Ups, Pull Ups(Chins) EveryDay Along With Running And Any Other Sport You Can Do That everyday, and for weight lifting just buy SMALL weights dumbbells do with it Biceps and triceps exercises. Along with a healthy diet you will really have a great toned body in like 3 months and maybe less and you will get the six packs too. btw with a healthy diet i don't mean just eat healthy stuff, just eat fruits and stay away from junk food and eat right! you need a lot of protein and calcium to feed your muscles after every workout. if you didn't eat right or ate fatty foods then its no use to workout. I would start with a lot of cardio. If you are overweight, swimming and biking are a good way to start out as they are very low impact to the joints. Add some light weight training to your excercise regime to increase muscle mass. Muscle burns calories, so adding some will increase the rate at which you use the food that you eat. Finally, a healthy diet is absolutely necessary for you body to increase stamina and muscle mass, as well as for long term health.

Swimming is one of the best aerobic exercises you can do. Avoid high impact since your body has to last a long time. Bicycle or swim mostly. Cross country skiing or long walking/hiking or whatever is low impact aerobics that you like to do. Start moderately and find a friend to do it with so you keep doing it over time. That should burn away the excess and tone you right up. Exercise is a lot more significant than a diet which avoids fats. The fats will burn off with a good workout. Eat well and eat hearty and burn it off every day.
