Salads with a ton of dressing?!

Question: Salads with a ton of dressing.?
okay, so i have been trying to eat healthier lately. i have been eating salads at school, and water.. okay... and a cookie. haha.

but the thing is that i am one of those people who HATES having dry salads. i have to have a bunch of dressing.

so my question is: is it bad.? i mean like, will i make me gain weight.? i am not too active. i'm very laid back (not lazy though, just comfy sitting on the porch reading) but my book bag is about eighty pounds normally (yes i'm serious, i weighed it. haha), and i have to walk back and forth from each side of the school (which is the biggest school in the district.... in other words, it's a LONG walk with eighty pounds) so i think i might be burning it off, but is it terrible to have a ton or dressing like that.?Health Question & Answer

At your age and being as active as you are probably not but it isn't a good HABIT to get into either. I also haven't liked DRY salads but I don't like the fat and calories most dressings have either. I recently found and LOVE the new Spritzer dressings. THey are on the salad dressing isle and they go a long way, have great flavor but don't drench your salad and are low in calories and fat. TRY all the flavors. My favorite is the Balsamic Breeze. I hope you like them too!Health Question & Answer

Well look at what dressing you are using.. are you using normal ranch.? then yes.. that can be bad.. Look if your school has any fat free dressings and try that... Try to limit yourself though.. I know dry salads can be gross but if you really want to be healthier, your going to have to make a sacrifice. Have the salad and a fruit besides a cookie..

I bet you are burning calories with carrying your bag, but not enough to make you loose any weight just from that..

good luck though!Health Question & Answer

Yes in some cases its healthier to eat a burger, depending on the salad size, dressings, toppings. Most people dont realise how high in fat those dressings are lol.Health Question & Answer
