It's normal to have food cravings - I used to have a horrible time with mine. Yours sound more acute - more like you *can't* avoid eating what you're craving. (You eat healthy food, still craving the "bad" food, and you aren't satisfied until you get that "bad" food, it's all you can think of.)

I would get checked out by a doctor for anemia first of all. Most fast food is burgers and red meat - which I crave when I am anemic.

If your health is good, then you may just not be getting enough nutrients out of your usual diet. I was having a horrible time with hunger and cravings until I started taking a vitamin my chiropractor recommended. I have no clue why it worked like that for me, since that isn't considered typical - I was just taking the vitamins because they had a lot of B complex vitamins in them. Maybe a vitamin supplement can help you, too.

Sometimes giving in to a little can keep you from binge eating. I keep a little bag of chocolate chips in my baking supply cabinet, and I eat a few if I suddenly want to drown myself in chocolate. It helps - certainly better for me than a giant Hershey bar! - so that may actually help you, too.

This is just another source. I hope something here helps you!
