Pills are the worst weight loss solutions for overweight people. For the most part, the ones allowed on the market are too weak to be effective, so often times you end up wasting your money. (I speak from past experience.) Almost any diet will take the weight off if you follow the plan. The difference is that with most of them, you can't keep the weight off. The best solution to weight problems is to change your lifestyle. It's also the ONLY way to keep the weight off once you've lost it.

That means understand the food pyramid, the food groups, the recommended servings, etc. That is how you should eat for life! If you eat that way and have 3 small, healthy meals a day and 2 small, healthy snacks, you will lose weight. Each meal should be less than 400 calories and each snack should be about 100-150 calories. Eating highly nutritious foods is the key, so think in terms of lean protein, veggies, whole-grains, fruits, low-fat dairy, and heart-healthy oils.

The second option is to do a short-term "drastic diet" that is designed to last for 2 weeks max. This would take off the most weight rapidly. There are several on the site under "Diet Plans" but my favorite is the 5-4-3-2-1 diet.

You get to pick what you eat, but you're going to want to pick highly nutritious foods to keep your metabolism working efficiently. Because when you eat only once a day, your metabolism gets slower than it already is! That's the main reason. Sounds funny, but to lose weight... you must eat (the right things, of course)

Starvation is not good for losing weight, nor your health.

WHAT to drink for losing weight...

? Drink 6-8 glasses of water every day !
Can be tap, plain, mineral, sparkling. I just love mineral sparkling water!
This improves your bowel, reduces the "hunger" sensation, and hydrates your skin. Your skin will look much better after the first weeks!
Don't believe the slogan "water makes me fat". Beside being stupid... you might get into serious troubles with your kidneys.

Don't drink Coca Cola, Pepsi, Spite etc. during the diet. Even lite or light versions.

The best way to lose weight is the NATURAL healthy way. Hey, I didn't say it's easy! But it's healthier (in fact THE healthiest way to lose weight), and certainly much, much cheaper. Buy books, read more, accumulate knowledge about losing weight in a natural way.
