940 to 1000 cals a day?!


Question: 940 to 1000 cals a day.?
Im trying to lose weight and I have started counting cals & exercising. On the days I exercise I try and eat between 1200-1500 cals that day & on the days I dont exercise I try and keep it between 940-1000 cals that day.

Im really dedicated to these specific calorie count intakes & its hard for me to go over without feeling bad about it. Im just curious if on the days I dont exercise, if 940-1000 cals is too little of cals.? I know your body goes into "starvation" on that number of cals, but I try & exercise every other day or everyday so I dont have to keep myself on the 940-1000 cal count, but sometimes Im too busy with work & school.

lol i so understand what your talking about! Once you start counting calories, especially on a reduced calorie diet, 2000 calories starts to seem like a sumo sized portion. tbh i think that perhaps 940 is a little unhealthy but its not that bad on days your not exercising. id say increase it by a couple of hundred and you ll feel happier and healthier. it may be hard the first few days but if you don't you risk going on a downwards spiral into dangerously low calorie diet.Health Question & Answer

Great to see you that you are concerned about your body weight.
However, You don't need to much concerned about daily balance sheet of calories & exercising. Because your body does not run on an equation.

You have taste, you have days when you are tired and all other things. So, don't take on your heart when you are not meeting with your given goal.
Instead, take help of any online calorie calculator and take not of how much calories you need to be fit.Make a daily schedule of your diet according to that need. And try to be regular.

You should reward yourself for any given task like adherence of your weekly schedule for one week. Take some forced intermission in between. You will enjoy your efforts.

That sounds a little low. If you are a girl try 1200-1300 on days you aren't working out and 1400-1600 on days that you are. If you are a guy then 1300-1400 on days you aren't working out and 1600-1800 on days that you are.Health Question & Answer
