Question: PLEASE!!!!!!!!! How to grow taller.?
I really want to be a model, my idols (I idolize their bodies haha) are Miranda Kerr and Marisa Miller (I think marisa has a better body though, but my waist is too big and my breasts are too small for me to get her look :[ ) who are both VS models. My measurements are:

Chest: 32B
Waist: 23 1/2 inches
Hips: 27
Age: 15 (just turned 15 today!)
Height: 5'5 so far

I'm just worried about my height, I mean, I really want to be AT LEAST 5'8 or 5'9. So, my teacher told me a story about one of his students who was insecure about his height and weight, so his student just drank chocolate milk for lunch instead of food, and he got taller really fast. And my dad takes these "Chocolate Chewable stuff" for calcium since he has Osteoporosis and I think they were prescribed/recommended to him by his PT. He told me not to take some, but I took some and I feel fine. Should I keep taking.? (He has like 200 of em!) What else could I do to get taller.?Health Question & Answer

Take calcium and vitamin d supplements and try to eat more dairy products and green vegetables. They are both great sources of vitamin d and calcium. You need both of these to grow properly.

Most people don't achieve their maximum height until after 18. You have time.

Secondly, you kinda need to get over the whole image thing. The more and more you concentrate on looking like someone else, the more pointless it is.

Have a mixed and rich diet, protein is essential - it contains Amino Acids which are essential to growth, mentioned elsewhere are greens and dairy.

Some other practical things are to get enough sleep at night, don't drink alcohol (excessively), check out your medications, sometime they contain steroids which can also impede growth - where natural substitutes can be used.

And yes - genetics does play a factor, but there is also physical condition.. Take up full time basketball.?!Health Question & Answer

You should understand that you are only 15 and your body has not even fully developed yet. Please just relax and if you take these calcium pills you need to also realize that if you take too much calcium it cancels out, meaning too much ends up going against your body (just like every other vitamin or mineral). Unless you are a vegan , take the chewables since you might not get enough calcium since you wouldnt drink cows milk or have cow cheese, yogurt...

also, if something works for someone it does not mean it will work for you. Relax, you're young you will worry about your weight in college and the years after and til we die[ its a curse us woman have].

If you have to do something I would reccommend doing yoga or pilates, it lengthens out your spine.... adding inches. Health Question & Answer

wow 5'5 is pretty tall [for a 15 year old] there are some models that are 5'5 like you so dont worry

good news; you still have a lot of time to grow the average growth span for women is 18 years old! thats plenty of time for you to grow


you should

excercise daily
take care of yourself
get the nutrition and sleep you need
eat healthy
and most of all
MILK;

it does a body goooood ;]


taking extra vitamins or supplements that you can buy in a store won't help you get taller.

dont sweat it you still have a long time to groww and become a beautiful model! dont be so hard on yourself!! models are known for confidence so work it girl!!!!!!
