Question: Tips on how to stop me eating so much :s .?
i eat loads when i am boared or when i look in the mirror and feel kind of depressed. i need tips on how to stop me turning to food all the time:

e.g.

*what things can i do to stop me been boared.?

*how can i make my self feel better/happier with my figure and everything.?

Go for a 10 minute walk or do an exercise video for 10 minutes.

Keep a food journal of everything you put into your mouth (you will be less likely to keep eating randomly if you know what you are consuming and how much)

Chocolate is not bad for you in single serving size. Just don't eat 5 servings. It also releases a feel good chemical in your brain and that is what you are wanting. Exercise will release the same chemical.

Find a hobby or find a place to volunteer or get a job so you have something to do and are not just sitting around. Either that or start spring cleaning your house.

Drink a glass of water before putting anything into your mouth. Wait 10 minutes.

Only eat every 4-5 hours and make sure you are eating 4 oz of protein at every meal and limiting your simple carbs (which is probably what is making you want to eat in the first place).

Ex. string cheese and an apple
1 chicken breast
2 tbsp of peaunt butter
5 slices of deli meat
1 serving of soy beans
1 serving of almonds, peanuts, cashews, macadamin, etc of nuts
1 serving of tuna fish

I used to be the same way, when i got bored sitting around I would start to much on something. So after i reached 164 pounds I knew I needed to do something. So I started working out in my home for about 30 minutes trying to help pass the time away that could also be beneficial for my body. I also then started to get on the treadmill and run 3 miles everyday. Occupying my time with exercising or just getting out of the house and doing stuff helped me to stop snacking so much.In addition to exercising I also began to vastly change my diet and ultimately reached my goal of 120 pounds. Going for walks when your bored is good, then when you go home you feel energised and less likely to eat.
and instead of buying chocolate and stuff when you shop, buy healthy stuff that doesn't need a lot of preparation, if you don't have chocolate in the house, you can't eat it!
Drink lots of water as well.

keep plenty of healthy snacks about like carrot sticks, apple slices to get that satisfying crunch that you get from crisps. Do activities that keep your hands busy rather than watch the tv and don't get too down on yourself if you have a little slip up - we are all human after all.
