How do you feel when you see an overweight / obese person eating unhealthy food, or struggling to walk?!

Question: How do you feel when you see an overweight / obese person eating unhealthy food, or struggling to walk.?
almost daily you walk down the street and are bound to see it.... an obese person struggling with their weight... their legs chafe together, their knees are buckling under their weight, they are short of breath.. they just look so miserable.. and you see them at the supermarket loading their trolly with unhealthy food,at the take away places eating unhealthy food.

how does it make you feel.?.? do you feel like telling them to stop eating that crap.? do you feel like saying "hey can i tell you what you should be buying from the supermarket.? or "hey can i help you lose weight and get your life back"

because i do... i always feel like personally helping these people.. but i know that would be really rude.. .?.?Health Question & Answer

Sometimes you have to be rude to help out people. If they don't want to take your advice then they don't have to. You could make a difference in their lifestyle, but i think it would be tough. They have most likely heard the same thing from family and close friends time over time, and it obviously didn't sink in. So the chances of them listening to a complete stranger are probably slim. But best of luck. Health Question & Answer

The term "overweight" spells out different things to different individuals. It's a good idea to start at the beginning, and establish whether you are in reality overweight for your size or not, by working out your BMI (Body Mass Index). I can tell you that it would be RUDE of u because it is not any of ur business if this person is not ur friend or a loved on of urs. My mom is very heavy set due to health problems and I wish someone like you would have the nerve to say something to her with me around and I would let ur *** have it. U would wish you would have never opened ur damn mouth!!!Health Question & Answer

In biology there is natural selection and survival of the fittest. You could moralize till the cows came home with no right answer. These people know they have a problem but choose not to do anything to change. Mentally imbalanced and avoidance of self worth, slow suicidal slothful people are not your cross to bear. I agree about having to look away in case my eyes explode.Health Question & Answer

Sadly you can't help people who won't help themselves

What the biggest problem is that in my country (where we have free health care) people with weight induced or smoking related health problems are clogging up the already stretched hospitals affecting the rest of us who lead health life styles Health Question & Answer

I feel embarressed for them. I would be embarressed. I just cant believe they cant pull themselves together and lose weight. Sometimes I feel like helping them too and tell them - hey you shouldn't be eating this, but that would be rude as well. I'm not rude :)Health Question & Answer

That is what they want to be, can't help it.

It really isn't anyone else's business what fat people do with their body.. and people shouldnt judge them.. that's only going to make them feel worse and want to eat more!Health Question & Answer

I pray that they find the peace God can give them as that is what they are searching for. Health Question & Answer

It's none of my business.

I'm 5'6" and weigh about 125lbs, but if I were overweight and someone were to say to me "hey you shouldn't be eating that stuff.." or "do you want me to help you lose weight.?" I would feel horrible. I would find the person to be rude, and I would probably just go home and eat more and then sulk around miserably because someone would have just told me that I was fat.

That said, I wouldn't like being overweight and would never allow myself to get that way.. but there are some people who are perfectly happy being overweight. I've met a few who honestly believe they look better heavier.Health Question & Answer
