Question: How much should a 15/16 year old girl supposed to weigh.?
i am about 5"2ish and i weigh about nine and a half stone, im quite muscular (especially my legs) i do quite a lot of exercise, roller skating around 3-5 hours everyweekend, cycling for and hour nearly everyday, i do kayaking for around 2hours a week and i run quite a bit, i used to go swimming every saturday for around an hour so i guess you could say im quite active, i dont really like eating vegetables much but i likes my fruit and i dont tend to eat unhealthy food eventhough it seems that i do, and i have a rather fast metabolism so if i have my dinner too early i tend to be hungry before i go to bed, i dont exactly drink that much water either, i have toast for breakfast and school lunches (which i dont have much of because they are yucky) and i have eggs and bacon for brekky on a sundayHealth Question & Answer

Hi! If I did my math correctly, you weight approx. 135 pounds. It sounds like you're active and healthy, and you probably don't need to worry about your weight in that case. Just going by your height though, you should weigh somewhere between 110-130. I wouldn't suggest a "formal" diet for you because you already do many of the right things. Here's what I call the "non diet" diet, in case you're interested. It's just some simple changes you can make that won't leave you feeling deprived, but will add up over time for a weight loss:
1) Weigh yourself once a week, at approx. the same time, wearing approx. the same thing.
2) Try to make the healthiest choices possible when choosing food. For example, choose brown rice over white rice. Choose whole-grained bread over white bread, etc.
3) Eat half of your normal portion at each meal.
4) Never skip breakfast as it wakes up your metabolism and gets it working for the day.
5) Only allow yourself one sweet on Saturday and one on Sunday (unless it's a special occasion like a birthday).
6) Drink mostly water and plenty of it. Save sweet drinks for special occasions. Limit soda-even diet. Skim milk is excellent!
7) Try to hit all the major food groups when choosing your food: lean protein, veggies, fruits, whole-grains, low-fat dairy.
8) Be more active. Ride your bike, take a walk, put on some good tunes and dance, jump rope, etc. Try to do something that leaves you huffing and puffing for 30 minutes each day.
