I have found this plan to be the healthiest:
1. Eat about 250 calories every two or three hours until you reach about 1300 calories (or whatever calorie amount is right for your height/weight) - to jumpstart your metabolism
2. exercise: warm up for 5 minutes and excercise hard for 15 minutes each day - helps with metobolism and building muscle which burns fat
3. eat nothing white, processed or with sugar in it - this is the hardest for me but this will cause you to lose water weight get proper nutrition so you don't store fat
4. get plenty of protein and fiber - to give you energy and clean out toxins
5. get 6-8 hours of solid sleep each night.

a definition of a diet is just the way someone eats. educate yourself about the four food groups, learn to control yourself and make the better choices. i have found that if you have the chubby maker foods in you house, you are more likely to eat it and so, just dont have it in your house.

Depends how long you got... the safe approach is to lose around 1-2pounds a week, i have tried a lot of diets and the one i have found the best is weight watcher, its easy because you can eat what you like but your portions are smaller and you have a daily allowance. The bad bit about WW is the price.

All other diets have failed because the fat come straight back after going back to normal eating habits, whereas the weight watcher diet makes you realise what is good and bad, skrinks your stomach so when you come of the diet you can maintain your weight because you are not eating as bad as before.

give it a go, you can do it online, but you have to be patient because you will not lose 20 pounds a week on it, depending how much you want to lose will depends how many weeks it will take.

dont try shakes! they are the worse for fat coming back

I think the best diet cannot be found in any diet book because it only involves common sense. Focus on healthy foods. Eat lean protein, veggies and wheat bread and pasta. Break up your meals into smaller more frequent ones say 5-6 a day. This will speed up your metabolism and promote fat loss. It will also help you not feel hungry. I follow similar principles and have lost 20lbs in 6 weeks. Hope that helps!
