Why am I gaining so much weight?!


Question: Why am I gaining so much weight.?
I feel like im getting fat.Im 13 and I weigh around 101-104 (to afraid to look), and im pretty much 5'3. Ive gained 25 pounds in the last 2 years! I dont understand why im gaining so much weigh because im really active. I just finished a season of cross country and I do swim team all year!

For the longest time I weighed 72lbs, from the time I was 9 until about 12. After 12 I starting gaining weight at what seemed to me to be a very quick pace. By the time I was 14 I weighted about 125 and I was FREAKING OUT! I was afraid I was going to be really fat, but at the same time I was gaining weight, I was also getting taller and stronger. It's all part of growing up :)

weighing even 105 at 5'3" is still on the very low normal end of the BMI calculator for you. Don't worry about it - you're just growing!

Have you started on the Pill.? You shouldn't have because you are so young, but that can cause weight gain.

also, it might not be "fat", muscle weighs about 3 times more than fat, and if you have been doing cross country then you're bound to have gained a fair amount of muscle.Health Question & Answer

You are probably gaining lean muscle from xc (done that before, best shape of my life ;) ), and your body is growing and going through changes. don't freak out! Starting in August in 2007, I gained like 20 pounds in 2 MONTHS!!! and 10 more pounds over this past summer! You are not fat! Your body is going threw a lot of changes, sometimes you will gain weight no matter what, but then you will grow more and everything will even out. So don't worry about weight problems your still young =) just remember eat healthy and get good sleep. =)Health Question & Answer

You have to ask yourself these questions...Are you eating late at night.? Are you eating fatty/sugary foods.? If you are eating properly such as a healthy breakfast, the most important meal, a good lunch, and a healthy supper.

Okay first of all your not fat.
This is because you are getting older and when u get older and taller. you start gaining weight just like when u go threw puberty .you get on weight.its totally normal dont worry about it your not fatHealth Question & Answer
