Your body can only absorb 500 mg at a time. The rest gets flushed away by your kidneys.
This is why it's important to divide your calcium intake in 3 doses at mealtimes over the course of a day.
For a woman...that's 500 mg per meal for a total of 1500 mg/day
also, make certain you are getting adequate Vitamin D to go with your calcium (that allows your body to absorb it...without it...it doesn't get absorbed).

No thats fine having it all in one go. Calcium can not be 'got rid of' by the body, any excess is stored and helps strenghthen your bones. Health Question & Answer
