14 reps moves you into slow twitch territory. 8 keeps you solidly in the Type2s. Doing 140 for 14 or even 20 doesn't give you much data on your 8 rep (or 1RM) because endurance doesn't directly relate to strength.
Plus if you are benching with freeweights and not a smith then I seriously doubt that your secondary stabilizers got that strong that fast. They don't gain mass or strength nearly as quickly as main muscle groups.
Partial range on the smith - yes. Hell, your neurological system might have been your only sticking point and get you close to that.
And if you are doing good form DLs for 400 then your leg press should be closer to 1500. Health Question & Answer

Depends, how hard was it to do 140lbs.? And how sore are you after doing 14.? You might could pull one or two off; But I would think at very least a week of solid working out 1-2hrs a day would probably put you at it.... 14 is not that much try doing half of the weight about 50-60 times.
Then stop take a bit of a break and try doing more.
Ether way good luck I hope you can and don't let these people annoy you to much with there negative posts! :-)Health Question & Answer

well i dont think you can that easy, you need to do sub lifts, lift butterflys, curls, dumbells, pull ups ect...... you probably could max out at about 190-180, so if you can do it then good job!!!!Health Question & Answer
