You don't have to go hungry simply because you want to lose weight. But you need to understand which foods lose weight. And it isn't really the foods by themselves that help you lose weight, it is how you eat them in combination that does it.

Foods that are rich in complex carbohydrates are great for losing weight. Just try not to eat them at the same time that you eat protein. Protein and carbohydrates use entirely different enzymes to be digested. Oddly enough, fats and starches go together just fine. So feel free to have the occasional piece of whole wheat bread and butter. Just don't overboard with it.

What other foods lose weight.? Well, although it is not really a food, drinking enough fresh water will help you lose a surprising amount of weight. You've probably heard this before but few of us drink the amount of water we need to.
