Am I over training (weight training)?!
Question: Am I over training (weight training).?
New school year started up so I thought I'd get back into shape. I'm 5'8 130lbs slim build. I don't have a gym nearby so I train with free weights at home and do a little bit of cardio on the side (15min a day approx).
My current workout consists of bicep curls 3 sets of 10 with 20lbs weights, 3 sets of 50 push ups, and 3 sets of 40 crunches. I do one set of curls then push ups then crunches and repeat until I finish 3 sets of each. In total it takes me about 35min to complete the workout. After I'm finished I drink a whey protein shake (disgusting by the way). I do this workout once a day 5 days a week.
It's currently my 3rd week into my workout and I'm seeing some nice results, but after doing a bit of online research I learned that I should be working out less in order to let my muscles heal. But since I'm not lifting any really heavy weights and I'm only using my body weight as resistance I don't know if that really applies to me. Any thoughts on this would help.Health Question & Answer

If you are happy with the results you are getting, then stick to your routine.
However, if you wish to lift heavy in the future, day of rest and muscle confusion will need to be addressed.
By the way, protein shakes aren't too bad once you get used to them.Health Question & Answer
