Question: Uhm.....yea. I need help.?
I am 13 years old. I weigh 165 pounds. I am 5'6. I want to lose 20 pounds. How do I do this.?

I can not go to gym. I can not take surgery. I can not get foods like Slim Fast or drink Green Tea. I can not buy any machines. I have an elliptical though. I would like to lose at least 20 pounds before Christmas. I need suggestions. Please do not reply saying lose weight tubby or something like that because I get enough of that at school. I can get low cal. food thought like,
Special K
low cal. Ice Cream
and stuff like that.
If you suggest doing crunches or pushups or ect. please also tell me how long and how often i have to do it. I know yoga, sun salutation. Does that help at all.? I don't know how to do pilates.
Remember, I have one of those big excercise balls AND an elliptical. Please help! I will give lots of points to those who help. Thank you.Health Question & Answer

oh i am the same way i am 13 and weigh 155 and i know it sux, i am trying to loose alot of weight to i went to a nutritionist and she told me that eating lots of veggies,fruits,and watching your calorie and fat intake can help u loose weight you also need lots of excresize so maybe you could run for like 30 minutes a day depending where you live you could run around your yard or around town like i do i had a friend who ran 30 minutes a day and he lost 60 pounds in like 6 months but he didnt diet..... you can also check the fitness channel called fit.tv it has lots of workout shows that use the big exercises ball and crunches and push ups do like 30-50 of those a day i know it seems like alot of work but it has helped me alot and i hope it helps u too! oh and it also helps if you have someone do it with you doing this with someone else id better then going it alone!!

Eat healthy foods and exercies. Take walks, maybe jog. I don't mean to discourage you but losing 20 pounds by Christmas may not only be very difficult, but also risky. Losing weight too fast is not a good idea, and if you do there is a higher chance of gaining it back if you stop exercising, which you shouldn't do anyway.Health Question & Answer

It is a possibility to lose weight rapidly but you should be realistic and accept that if you lose weight fast then you will inevitably put it all back on again just as fast. you are still in puberty, any changes you make to your weight will be far from permanent, no thanks to your hormones. my advise is to just eat healthy, stay away from sugars, specially hidden ones like that in special k and yogurts. and don't exercise too much. wait until your puberty is almost over, around 16, and then you can start an exercise program.Health Question & Answer
