You could use the 3 Day Diet but you will definately lose more than 3lbs more like 7-10, the "good news" is you'll probably gain an lb or so back by the time you need to fit into your dress :) Beware though it's really extreme and I would not do it if I had any pre-existing health issues.

I lost 4.5kg in one week 3 weeks ago, although most of that was probably water. But some good advice, I think, if you just want to lose 3 lbs, is to cut out bread for the entire week, and cut out potatoes and other starchy carbohydrates. It will work. Make sure you eat salads with fat free dressings, (make them tasty with beetroot if you find them too boring) and don't eat rice or pasta either. If you DO want to eat rice and pasta, eat very small portions, and make sure it's brown/wholemeal. also, cut back on things like cheese which are very high in fat.
