How many calories will I burn running from New York to California?!

Question: How many calories will I burn running from New York to California.?
Answers:
ok, lets say you weight 160 lbs and youll run at 7.5 mph for 10 hours a day. Thats a burn rate of about 1000 cal per hour or 10,000 calories per day. You'll cover about 75 miles per 10 hour day at that rate.

Its almost 3000 miles from NY to LA in round numbers so 3000/75 = 40 days of running.

So 40 * 10000 = 400,000 calories total for the run.

The caloric total will be almost about the same if you run 10 or 24 hours a day, so the trip could be made in under a half million calories. Stop off and eat one of those 96 ounce steaks along the way and you get your dinner for free!Health Question & Answer

it depends on your initial weight. The more you weight, the more you burn. The other factors are speed and time.
So, establish your route, calculate the distance. Find out how much time would it take you, based on your ordinary jogging speed.

Alot. But you won't lose much weight because you will need to eat a lot of food to even make it. Michael Phelps eats 12,000 calories a day but he is burning it all up. You need to be fit in the first place to even consider running that long.Health Question & Answer
