Hi, this page is called "Eat Healthy" and can help you with your questions about eating the right foods:
http://www.easy-weightloss-tips.com/eat-...
Please check that out because you should be eating the same healthy foods. The focus of your meals should be:

lean protein--
beef, turkey, chicken, fish, pork, eggs...any of that will work but buy lean cuts. Limit hamburger to once a week and buy the 90% fat free. It's just as good, I promise.

veggies--
of all kinds without butter or sauces but a tiny bit of olive oil would be okay

fruits--
of all kinds

whole-grains--
whole wheat bread, whole wheat pasta, brown rice instead of white, potatoes are fine (without butter) but sweet potatoes are healthier

low-fat dairy--
skim milk (at least for the adults), low-fat or fat-free yogurt, 2% cheese

heart-healthy oils--
olive oil, canola oil, avocados, olives

Healthy snacks to eat on the run:

1)Fiber One bars (delicious, especially the chocolate and oats)
2)Kashi TLC Trailmix bars (my personal favorites)
3)Gnu Bars (have 12 grams of fiber in each one!)
4)handful of almonds or walnuts or pistachio nuts (already shelled, of course)
5)an apple cored and quartered and a little bit of peanut butter in a plastic container to dip it in.
6)grapes, or a box of raisins
7)string cheese or a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese, or an ounce of a hard cheese
8)low-fat popcorn in a baggie
9)baby carrots and a little hummus (in a plastic container)
10) a couple of those "Ones Prunes". They're delicious!
11)dried fruit
12)whole-grain pretzels
13)whole-grain crackers w/ peanut butter or cheese
14)some cream cheese smeared on luncheon meat and then rolled up like a cigar
15)a piece of dark chocolate
Good luck!
Health Question & Answer

Foods that are high in potassium (bananas are one example) lower blood pressure. As for late night snacks, try eating deviled eggs --take out the yoke and fill in with tuna fish or sardines. You can mix it with low fat mayo or honey mustard. Delicious. The omega-3s are terrific for your heart and blood pressure in general.Health Question & Answer
