If my BMR is 1567.2, how many calories do I need to intake each day?!

Question: If my BMR is 1567.2, how many calories do I need to intake each day.?
I'm currently weighing in at about 160, and I am looking to lose about 30lbs. I'm eating right, and working out for an hour a day. What else should I be doing, and how many calories should I be cutting each day.?Health Question & Answer

Keep in mind that your BMR is the number of calories you would burn if you layed in bed all day. (or the number of calories that would get you through a coma)
Assuming that you do not lie in bed all day and that you are not in a coma, your maintenance calories (calories to remain the weight you are) is a bit higher than that.
You need to make you calorie deficit based on your maintenance calories, not your BMR. Eating too far below your BMR is not only unhealthy, but unsafe. And you can most likely bet the weight will come back fast. Women should never never never go below 1,200 calories a day.
I am not sure what your activity level is though. Could you tell me so I could help you out better.?
To the girl that said about changing it up......I did not down rate you :( but calorie cycling is usually for people who have hit their plateau. :)
Edit- If you are moderately active, your body needs about 2,400 to function.
Be careful with this. Make sure you are as active as you say you are, otherwise, your body would not need this many calories. (Obviously)
This is based on your activity level and how to remain the weight you are.
I would try consuming 1,600 a day. This is all based on your BMR and your activity level. You will lose weight gradually and safely this way. :)
Good luck.

Calories is a big subject when it comes to weight loss. We need to understand three things: the volume of calories in our food, the volume of calories a certain activity expends every 60 minutes, and last but not least our own personal daily allowance of calories. I discovered the answers to all of these questions by reading the web portal in the box below, they have plenty of instruction, I melted away 6 pounds by following their helpful advice.Health Question & Answer

Hi, Katie, there's a formula and I don't remember it. This page is called Basal Metabolic Rate and will explain it:

Change it up every day. You shouldn't go below 1000. So do 1000 one day, 1100 the next, 1200 the next, back to 1000, etc.

It speeds up your metabolism and makes weight loss easier and faster.Health Question & Answer

it depends on how fast you are planning to drop the weight.Health Question & Answer
