Question: HOW 2 STOP THE TEMPTATION OF SCOFFING MY FACE!.?
Im busy studying 4 exams at the moment, which leaves me at home pretty much the entire day! my mom has all these nice sweet n chocolates in the cupboard which no1 ever eats. So i am like permanatly wanting 2 eat EVERYTHING. not bcos im hungry or i like the taste, just cos i want it in my stomach. strange i no. im not puting on weight cos i exercise everyday, but i need 2 lose weight and me eating so much all the time is just not helping. SO PLEASE, any tips or advice on how 2 resist the "cookie jar"Health Question & Answer

Distract yourself.

If you' moving towards the jar:

- Paint your nails (don't want crumbs on your nails,do you.?)

- Go for a walk.

- Brush your teeth (taste will be horrid)

These distractions are fine, as long as it's junk crap you're resisting... if you start applying them all day, every day... that's where the issue starts.

You mention you don't care about taste, that you just want the food in your stomach and I'd like to touch upon that if you don't mind, as it's not just about keeping yourself from gorging, but thinking about *why* you want to i you wouldn't enjoy it.

I have anorexia, and during my darker times I went though periods of eating for the sake of eating, primarily to bury and push down feelings I didn't want to deal with. I advise you to write down how you feel when you want to go eat lots...think about the feeling inside, good or bad, take a deep breath, count to 100 and think, 'do I really need or want this.?'

If you do, eat it.If you're not sure, think about what you really want to get.. and the cause of it. Stress, perhaps.?

Thinking about *why* you want to eat for the sake of eating will give you a better insight into how to eat only what you want, when you want it... Not in an out of control manner.

When you run out of chocolate goodies and your mother goes to buy more ask her not to and instead bar nutrition bars, they will give you energy while you are working out and also lower the sugar intake at the same time.Health Question & Answer
