and what music do you listen to, if any.?Health Question & Answer

I swear, if the weather is right, nothing is better than running for a great cardio workout -- and I'm no featherweight. Guys my weight (200) usually shy away from running because it's too hard on their joints and such.

At least two miles is optimum. On longer runs, I listen to MP3s of the Howard Stern show. On shorter runs, mostly up-tempo 80s punk/alternative music, like Dead Kennedys, Sex Pistols, Violent Femmes.

In the gym, I aim to do at least 30 minutes on an elliptical or bike, then weights for 30 minutes. The elliptical seems harder and works more muscle groups, but I sweat a lot more on the bike. I'm not a fan of treadmills, as I'd rather run outdoors.Health Question & Answer

Sprinting works the best for fat loss, according to research from Nottingham University in the U.K. They actually carried out a study to see which type of cardio program burned the most fat: sprinting, jogging, the stair-stepper, the exercise cycle, the rowing machine, or the elliptical machine.

The winner, according to the study, was interval high-intensity sprinting (20 seconds of all out running separated by 10 seconds of rest... a total of 8 intervals).

They said this burned the most fat because it increased both aerobic and anaerobic fitness, as well as increased your post-exercise metabolism the highest. This means that after sprinting exercise, your body continues to burn fat for up to an additional 24 to 36 hours. Health Question & Answer

Yoga fall out boys... emo.?.?... Ok this is my workout on cardio days you can tone this down or half it cause its a bit much until you get the feel for it. I run 3 miles first. right after the 3 miles i do lunges for a quarter of a mile, run a quarter, lunges a quarter, then run half a mile. After that I go straight into jumps. Meaning I jump up on a box about 2 feet higher than what I am. After that I finish off with a cool down walk of a quarter of a mile.. All this I wear a 50 Lbs. weight vest. I listen to rock while doing this because it just doesnt work listening to country, jazz, christian, ya know.? Rock just gets you pumped. Well this my cardio workout. Might want to shorten it and make it a little easier. But thats my cardio day. Eat right as well. Cardio is only good if you eat right.Health Question & Answer
