Question: How do I lose the fat and tighten the muscle.?
Hey good people I am 23yrs old and I'm not in bad shape but I have a very crazy schedule and can only devote about 2 or 3 days a week to working out at a gym. How do I lose this little bit of belly fat and tighten up the body in just a few days a week of working out...I also have a window of about 1-1.5hrs on those days. What do you suggest.?Health Question & Answer

If you've only got 1-1.5 hours I think you should do 30 - 40 minutes of hard cardio and the 30-40 minutes of lifting.

Start off by lifting weights. You can probably get three to four exercises if you work quickly. For your first exercise do a max set for whatever muscle group you working. Do not rush this! Take roughly 2 minutes rest in between sets. Once you hit your max set drop down in weight and hit a set 8-12 times and another 15+ times. Then do one more exercise in your muscle group for 3-4 sets, while increasing weight. Get less then 8 reps on your last set.

Then do the same thing for your second muscle of the day. You should group muscles. I've never done this but I suggest bench/back then legs/shoulders and biceps/triceps. And throw in abs on a day when you have more time. Make sure you get a days rest in between your workout days.

For cardio, do a 5 minute warm up and then do whatever you do at a high intensity for 20-25 minutes. Then do a short cool down 2-5 minutes. If it is not a leg day you can stretch after you do cardio. This helps to build you muscle in the same way as lifting weights. That why lions, who hardly move at all, are so jacked. They just stretch to get huge.

Eat the same amount you do now, you should still probably loose weight if your doing this high intensity workouts. If your muscles are still really sore after 2 days you might want to eat more cals, it will go towards building muscle. also drink allot of water and get lots of sleep.
