Question: Do water and ice have have the same nutritional value.?
I hate to drink water but I love to eat ice chips. I know that 1 cup of ice cubes doesn't equal 1 cup of water, but my husband says that crunching on ice cubes isn't the same health wise as drinking water. I say he's crazy. Who's right.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Yes, well they do have the same nutrient value. But is terms of kilojule input and usage, drinking water will NOT have negative kilojules (take more kilojules to digest then you obtain from the food source), But ice may have negative kilojules. This is because your body has to produce heat energy to melt the ice, therefor using more energy to digest than it gives you.Health Question & Answer

Being frozen doesnt add any vitamins or proteins. If that was true that would mean that the longer you are frozen the stronger you would become. Since water has 3 different forms, they all contain the same things condensed differently. Health Question & Answer
