Hello,
Everyone suggests that eat healthy and exercise......i need a little description on it ...... which exercises will help me burn off fat and build muscle and what kind of foods are good for someone who is trying to lose weight......how many days to exercise and for how much duration and some names of foods , fruits , veggies etc... which will be helpful in my weight loss diet.thanks Health Question & Answer

1. u cannot burn muscle AND BUILD fat at the same time though u can burn fat to look more toned if u weight lift
u gotta do a "cutting diet"
basically it;s lower carbs ill give u numbers exactly
2.You Need a high protein medium fat medium carb diet
to do this u must eat 1.5g protein per lb u weigh eat 100-150g carbs a day and fat 50-60g keep that u need that fat u need healthy fats not candy bars
diet is 90% of weight loss really
3.foods specifacally
best carbs in order: sweet potatoes Fruits and veges (not bananas though) brown rice whole wheat pasta oats kashi go lean cereal whole wheat bread
best proteins: chicken and turkey breast tuna fish shellfish lean steaks 99% lean hamburger egg whites whey protein powder to make shakes
best fats: Natural peanut butter nuts olives olive oil avacados anything w/ high mono and poly fats low saturated fats
best fruits and veges: greens any greens and cauliflour carrots
apples berries basically anything accept try to avoid papaya banana and grapes they are much more calorie dense
4. workouts
workout w/ weights 2-3x a week for 45-1hr
workout cardio 4-6x a week for 30-60mins
when i say cardio i mean at least jogging

cardio: elliptical machine is the best or the old fashion way, running/jogging.

build muscle.?
bench press, squats, barbell rows, deadlifts, shoulder press, chins, etc. 2 sets x 6 reps for beginners.

3 days, monday, wednesday, friday.

45 minutes for lifting and 20-25 minutes for cardio on the elliptical machine.
