How can I get my mind off my weight?!


Question: How can I get my mind off my weight.?
What can I do to not be so obsessed with my weight.? I dont want to be like this. Im only 13 and I know I should just enjoy life but its hard to. I feel like I have no control sometimes. Please offer some good advice.Health Question & Answer

It might be a good idea to join a sport or take up some sort of athletic activity. Not because you'll be getting exercise (although that's not a bad thing), but because it might help you feel more "I'm doing something that's good for me, I'm getting something done" instead of "Blargh, my weight." Knowing that you're doing something that's good for you might make you feel better about yourself and a little less concerned about your weight. (Is this making any sense.? It sounded better in my head.)

And if it's a fun activity (I certainly hope it would be!), then it's something else for you to enjoy when you could instead be obsessing over your weight. Of course, the same could be said of an activity that's not very physical.Health Question & Answer
