This depends on what you define as normal everyday tasks and your age...if you're a desk jockey, 1200 or so, if you work inventory/stock then maybe 1400-1500, if you work in landscaping/carpentry, etc over 2000. Lumberjacks were known to consume over 10,000 calories in a day and still stay VERY trim.
Oh yeah...age...if you are under 25 or so, your bones are still finishing up the final details, so you'll be burning more calories. welll it depends on ur height weight and what u eat how much. Walking around all day or staying in bed it all depends. I think just to function an average person burns around 1200 calories. But a big buff muscular person will burn a ton more even doing nother for a day, since muscle burns calories. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn even at rest.Health Question & Answer
