I'm 5'1 and a little over 100 lbs. now, and i'm trying to maintain my weight. Would eating like that maintain it or cause me to lose weight, or gain weight, neither of which I really want to do. Health Question & Answer

No you'll probably gain fat.

I would be better to split that meal in to 5 or more a day, so that your body burns it off as it goes through the day, and you aren't hungry. It is more consistent, healthier, and with water it should maintain the weight. Just make sure that you're getting all of the nutrition out of those meals, like vitamins, minerals, protein, carbs, ect.


Oh yeah, forgot to say that you'll get fatter because your body will panic with the lack of food and start storing fat as emergency energy. It's like a primal instinct where your body still thinks about survival, so in order to survive in the past when there was a food shortage, the body would do this and potentially save the person for long enough until they could get more food. You need at least 2 meals a day or your body will go into conservation mode cause it thinks it is starving then anytime you eat you will store more fat even if you are loosing weight it will be muscle mass as your body stores more fat.

Your really should eat 3 meals a day minimum and that much water can be bad for you. The average woman should drink 7-10 cups of water a day and a man between 9 and 13 cups. You can go over that by a good percent but excess water can actually kill you as it leaches electrolytes and mineral from your system in excess.

Really to tell you the truth even if you don't eat all day for three days you still won't lose weight. You might feel light but you won't lose any weight. The fat in your body has been building every time you eat that one big mac for dinner or whatever you're having to eat for that one time a day. I would suggest you eat 6 small meals a day. Normally we have a big breakfast, light lunch and huge family dinner. Change that to a big breakfast, a light snack at 10, a [1] sandwich for lunch, tea at 3 and then well balanced dinner with lots of green. Don't cut any kind of food. It would most likely cause you to loose weight because you are only eating once a day, which is really really unhealthy, and even though you drink water all day, you loose the water you drink when you use the restroom. Instead, try to eat 3 meals a day ( breakfast, lunch and dinner), but just make them healthy meals. You could eat plenty of fruits and vegies. DONT DO THAT! That is one of the worst things you can do for your body. Eat 5 snacks a day with water and that will help you maintain a healthy weight. And with this, it speeds up your metabolism and you also get to eat more often, but in small portions :)

today at school, we had a presentation on diets and stuff, and if you start off by even eating healthier and just trying to eat a little less, it can turn into anorexia and you will look in the mirror and see yourself as a fat cow [that's how their brains work] even though you are little.
