Will this be healthy if i have this for dinner?!

Question: Will this be healthy if i have this for dinner.?
For breakfast I had about the same amount as a small handful of rice crispies with a small amount of semi-skimmed milk and a glass of pure orange juice

For my lunch I had a wholemeal bread sandwich (2 slices of bread with a tiny scraping of the cannot believe its not butter stuff with a slice of fresh ham inside it with a chopped tomato) and an Apple and a glass of orange juice

For my dinner I was going to have a small amount of pasta and I was going to make my own sauce consisting of fresh tomato's and mushrooms. Is this a healthy diet if I eat this in one day or am I eating too much.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:

for breakfast you need to have about 30g of cereal not just a handful
that would be okay then

mid afternoon - fruit

lunch sounds fine - maybe add a small treat or snack such as a breakfast bar

if hungry - eat some fruit or carrot sticks ETC

dinner would be okay just make sure you eat enough pasta until your full

try adding some mince/or veggie mince to your pasta sauce i regularly make my own spag bol it tastes so much better.

after dinner - have a treat such as choch moose. ice lolly glass or wine

your doing grate you intentions are right you jst need to make sure your eating enough other wise you wont be able to sustain it in the long term and you'll end up quiting in a few days.
for a good way or knowing if you eating enough is by simply counting the calories of things

if you dint already try some exercise as well the wii fit is grate, or an exercise vid

good luck xxHealth Question & Answer

Have to agree with Chris's answer. You are not eating enough and your metabolism will actually slow down and store the fat immediately because your body doesn't know when your going to eat again and if it will get enough fat. Try to eat healthy snacks throughout the day, esp. if you're going to eat small meals like that. Exercise is the most important to lose weight and jump start your metabolism. After I had a baby I exercised 3-4 times a week for at least 30 minutes, I was below my normal weight in just a couple of months. Consistency is key to exercise. Health Question & Answer

sounds okay to me, but add a salad, fresh greens are great for your body. the only thing you need to watch out for is instead of juice drink water or green tea. Juice has LOTS of sugar and calories...if you want fruit, eat fruit, there's more for your body to break down and its not just sugar. Green tea is the best since its is an antioxidant and it increases your metabolisim. Health Question & Answer

it sounds healthy as you have a good source of carbs in the pasta. but i believe this is not enough for one day of food intake. increase the portions, you can do this because wot you are eating is healthy and all good nutrients are there. Health Question & Answer

Not eating enough. You body will start to store fat, because it knows it is not being fed properly, therefore you will put weight on. You need to eat to lose weight.Health Question & Answer

Thats not enough why not eat fruit as well and salad if you want to eat healthy Health Question & Answer

I've been researching dieting too, sounds like your doing good the only suggestion is cut down on the orange juice, on glass of orange juice can have the same calories as and english muffin with jelly and 4 orange segments. Juices are very high in sugar. and try whole wheat pasta its high in fiber and fills you up faster, plus your body works harder to digest fiber so you burn more calories. maybe take the apple out of lunch and eat that between lunch and dinner, spread eating out into small meals to keep your metabolism strong and buring fuel all day long and keeps you satisfied. good luck.Health Question & Answer

You are not having a balanced diet. It's low in iron, calcium and b12 at the very least. You're also having a significant proportion of your diet as processed foods. I'd suggest whole grains instead of the rice crispies with fresh fruit, some nuts and seeds and some yoghurt. Instead of ham at lunch have some lean red meat or vegetarian protein such as lentils or tofu with either a salad consisting of a large assortments of vegetables or steamed vegetables. For dinner have whole-wheat pasta or pasta made from quinoa or amaranth (for protein and amino acids) with legumes or eggs, vegetables and the home-made sauce. Perhaps add some cheese for calcium. For snacks have fresh fruit with a small amount of nuts and seeds or vegetable sticks with hummus or tahini. also incorporate more calcium rich foods by having yoghurt as a snack or a couple of glasses of skim milk. Alternatively, if you don't like dairy, have almond milk and eat more calcium rich vegetables such as Kale and broccoli. I don't know what your serving sizes are but I don't believe you are eating too much. I do think that you are not having enough nutrients. Health Question & Answer
