WEIGHT WATCHERS PROGRAM!!?!

Question: WEIGHT WATCHERS PROGRAM!!.?
So I'm on the program, doing it myself, not going to the meetings, but I am having a terrible time doing this! I have like NO willpower. After a few days I'm ok but I need some help. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do to get my butt in gear.? I'm at my breaking point. And FYI I hate veggies...so please no "just have a salad for lunch" thats for skinny people who don't have trouble maintaining their weight! lolHealth Question & Answer

I, too, am doing the program without going to meetings. I find that the meetings don't really address my "reasons" for overeating, therefore they don't attack the problem at the root. So why pay for it.?!
I am doing quite well on my own following the Points Plan, and have lost 10 pounds in two months. Slow, but sure.
Here is something that has helped me tremendously: write out about 3 or 4 top reasons why you want to NOT be fat. Then right under that, write out 3 or 4 really negative feelings you have about being fat, and under that write the question: So is running to the fridge or pantry worth feeling like this.?.?.? Then under that write down the quote that says, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result!" (Albert Einstein)
Then anytime you feel the urge to go tear into a box of Twinkies or a bag of chips, go read that paper. Drink a glass of water, then reaffirm your resolve. I assure you, if you do this, you will thwart the desire to binge.
Plus, once a week, I give myself a cheat meal (anything I want, as much as I want at one sitting.) And that same day I give myself one cheat snack...say chips and dip, or something rich & sweet. Just one. And that's it.
It works!!!!

Maybe you have chosen the wrong diet plan to follow.

Really you should goto the meetings as that is one of the key factors of doing a weight watchers diet. This will help with your will power and motivation.

Here are some other diet plans that might be better suited to you and you might find easier to follow.

See how you get on but remember their are other diet plans that you could follow.

Here is a list of food that is bulky, tastes good and is healthy. Basically you stay full, so your will power isn't tested and you get the nutrients that you need. Just ignore the veggies on the list http://iamgettingfit.blogspot.com/2008/1...Health Question & Answer

The way to get that will power is to go to he meetings. You might think that you're just wasting your time and money with them, but you are not. Trust me, I have done it both ways, and the meetings WORK!
Hope this helps!Health Question & Answer

I am an ex member of Weight Watchers. Lost over 50 pounds doing the program, however I was going to the meetings and actually counting points. (Did the Flex Plan).

I "fell of the wagon" so to speak and completely lost my motivation to do it. I went back and it ended up like a New Year's Eve resolution--lasted about a week then I forgot all about it. I am currently NOT a member, however I know that the program works when you do it consistantly.

I know you probably don't want to hear this, but sounds like you are looking for shortcuts like I was, and it sounds like you're not ready. You don't like veggies, you're trying to do it alone, you don't do meetings, when Weight Watchers is all about support and not doing it all alone. It's not about veggies, you know that the veggie intake is actually very minimal w/ Weight Watcher's.

You say you are at your breaking point, but if you really were, you'd be doing something different. Weight Watcher's isn't about willpower, and they talk about that in the meetings. So, I don't know if actually doing the meetings would help give you accountability in staying motivated or not. I'd suggest you sit back down & re-evaluate why you joined Weight Watcher's and write out what you're willing to do differently. Sorry to be all lecture-mode, but people giving me hints of quick weight loss stuff never worked because when it all came down to it, I knew what I needed to do--it was me and my crappy decisions...so, good luck.Health Question & Answer
