Why do I NEVER feel full?!

Question: Why do I NEVER feel full.?
I'm trying to lose weight. I have always been a person that eats out of boredom. I quit doing that and was doing good for a while but for the past few days I've had the problem of never feeling full. Within 30 min of eating a meal I feel hungry again. I started taking vitamins hoping it would help but it hasn't yet. I'm also Diabetic and have an underactive thyroid just to let people know. I would love to hear your opinions however if you are just going to advertise for a weight loss drug dont waste my time as well as yours. Thanks!!!Health Question & Answer

I had this problem too and I found there are a few things you can try.

A lot of times, people mistake hunger for thirst so obviously the first thing you should do is make sure you are hydrated. If you feel hungry, try drinking some water and see if the pangs go away. Most of the time this does the trick.

If that doesn't work, try snacking. If you take what you currently eat and divide it up so that you eat the same amount but over 5 or 6 times a day. Thus, your body will always have something in it throughout the day and might stop telling your brain that you're hungry. If you can't divide your meals, try eating simple snacks like carrot/celery sticks, saltine crackers, etc.

Another thing is to try to eat more volume but keep the calorie count the same. Try eating things that are high in volume such oatmeal for breakfast and salads and soups for lunch/dinner. Try to incorporate more fiber into your diet. You can never get enough fiber.

The last thing is to try to eat slower. Take the time to savor and chew your food. Dumping a bunch of food into an empty stomach can really throw your system off.

Hope this helps.Health Question & Answer

Hi,

Try eating foods that are high in fiber (oatmeal, high fiber cereals, vegetables, etc...) this helps you fell fuller.
Eat 5 - 6 smaller meals a day, this helps speed up the metabolism, give you more energy, burn more fat and if you are diabetic it helps stabilize sugar levels.

As far as being hungry you have two options, if you are hungry and you eat health you are good, if you eat high calorie foods, then you gain more weight.

Hope this helps!Health Question & Answer
