I would assume it is because of muscle mass. However, if you weigh yourself at different times, your body weight can vary some.
Keep exercising though. If you don't see the results you want, you can try increasing your workout time. Walk an extra mile or something easy at first; see if you like the results.

It is very normal that a person gains weight when they start working out. This tends to discourage some but it is completely normal and healthy.
I would say your best bet is to continue with your dietary plan and gradually work your way into a steady workout. Make sure to do warm-ups and cool-downs as well, since they are good for your heart and especially important when you are just starting to work out.
I basically did the same thing a few years back, cut out all the junk and ate extremely healthy, and lost about 80 pounds. I started out with some light cardio and weights and gradually expanded my workout to where I wanted it over time.
Best of luck to you in meeting your goals.Health Question & Answer

Congrats on the losing 10 lbs. Losing any weight is admirable. Don't stop. You need to eat healthy and include regular exercise. It all works together. Your body will also have to get used to losing weight. If you lose alot at one time (10 lbs in 2 weeks is alot for your height and weight ) then your body will have to adjust and you will usually maintain or gain a little back. It will all work out though. I am obese and have been losing weight myself. I have actually lost 40 lbs as of yesterday. I have had big losses, zero losses, and even some gains. Just keep up what you are doing. One more thing, do not worry about "bulking" up. Women aren't built to bulk up like men. Normally the only way to do that is to take steroids or hormone treatments. I hope this helped. Health Question & Answer

No, definitely keep exercising. Since I'm not sure what exercising you were doing maybe you got some muscle mass... Anyways walking is a great exercise to start with and keep up the good work with your diet!!!Health Question & Answer
