Which calories do you count when dieting?!
Question: Which calories do you count when dieting.?
I am trying to lose a little weight, and so far so good. I've lost 6 pounds and have 10 more to go. I am curious about which calories to count. On most things it says how many calories are in it per serving and then it also says how many calories from fat. Which you count.?

Answers:
Both. Along with grams of carbs & grams of protein. All to make sure the diet stays balanced.
No, don't add them together. Total calories includes everything.
Total Calories = (grams of carbs * 4) + (grams of protein * 4) + (grams of fat * 9)
Most packages round to the 1/2 g & either 5 or 10 calories, so the numbers don't always work out.
Yes, if it says 1 serving is 110 calories, you just ate 110 calories. 50 of those 110 just happen to be from the fat contentHealth Question & Answer
