P90X is a great program but it is eXtreme (that's the X in P90X). I wouldn't say it was for beginners but you can start with that if you want. Just remember that in order to be successful you don't want to get frustrated and quit by taking on to much to quick. The P90X routines are about an hour long (the yoga routine is 1 1/2 hours) and they will work you as promised!

The programs are based on a technique called "Muscle Confusion," which accelerates the results process by constantly introducing new moves and routines so the body never plateaus, and the mind never gets bored.

If you are just starting out I would suggest Power 90 (P90). P90 will get you into the habit of working out and motivated from the results. Phase 1 and 2 of the program is about a 1/2 hour and then you move into phase 3 and 4 which runs about 45 minutes. From there you can move into the more advanced P90X and then if you are really motivated they have P90X+!!
