Is my scale broken or what?!

Question: Is my scale broken or what.?
Alright, so let me tell you about my predicament.

I was supposed to weigh 101, but I had a major binge and knew I'd be 103 from it.

Sure enough, I noticed my friend's scale when I went to her bathroom. Generally, I weigh myself naked for better results, but since I didn't want her to think I was in the bathroom for quite awhile, I didn't bother, and wore a big sweatshirt, jeans, and socks. To my surprise, her scale validated my 103 pounds assumption.

Three days passed by, and I was supposed to be 99, but binged again and assumed I would have been 101. I was going to attempt to burn off my 2,000 calorie intake, by exercising; but I ended up only exercising for 10 minutes, because of a situation with my family. Then I went to bed for the night.

Well I weighed myself, first thing in the morning, with a digital scale and the numbers across it read, "105."

My digital scale always, always tells me I weigh more than I'm supposed too. Is my scale broken.?

To clarify, I fast, and when I do eat, I burn it off. I exercise excessively for hours every day, on an empty stomach, so that my body will burn off the existing fat and muscle. So, basically, I find it hard to believe that I gained 4 pounds from one binge. Health Question & Answer

First off, I really don't think binging is going to help you lose weight and keep it off in the long run, but I don't know whether you really care about my opinion on your weight loss habits.

Secondly, when you restrict your calorie intake, your body goes into something called "starvation mode." In starvation mode, your body stores everything you eat into fat because it doesn't know when to expect your next intake of food. So, because of your binging, your body may be storing your food as fat and causing weight gain very rapidly from eating "normally." Believe me, I know this from first-hand experience; one day, when I went from eating 700 calories to 1000, I had gained 1.5 pounds! The best way to really avoid this, though, is just the lose weight in a healthy, safe way, but I guess I shouldn't really be talking, even though I'm trying to recover from what I think is anorexia.

Then again, your scale could possibly be wrong. Try figuring it out by using your friend's scale and your scale on the same day after a binge.Health Question & Answer

The only way for your scale to stay consistant is to stop fasting and binging. the best way to diet is a lot of small meals throughout the day. "so that my body will burn off the existing fat and muscle" there is so much wrong with that sentence... why would you want to burn muscle. I think you should see a specialist before things get worse. Lastly, stop worring so much about your scale, eat! live and enjoy lifeHealth Question & Answer
