Question: How Was My Eating Today.? Please Critique...?
Brunch (i woke up late)
- Egg whites, chopped turkey, spinach and mushroom wrap
-small cup of fruit
-handful of jelly beans (i know they're not good for me, but im addicted!)

Snack 1 - Carnation instant breakfasr prepared with skim milk

Snack 2 - apple with 2 T crunchy peanut butter

Dinner
Linguine with clam sauce and a little it of baked chicken
Spinach salad with cheese and sliced almods and a T of light dressing

Snack 3
-low fat strawberry yogurt topped with granola
-v8 juice

How was my eating today.? I am a 17 year old female, recovering from an eating disorder. I am not allowed to do cardio, but i did 45min of strength training today. also, do you think i will gain, lose or maintain my weight eating this way.?

Very healthy! I've never actually had an instant breakfast before but I don't see anything wrong with it.

I went through the process of recovering from an eating disorder as well and now I love nutrition. Working on becoming a nutritionist actually. :)

I'd say you did very good. Even the jelly beans! I believe you need to allow yourself a treat once a day (god knows I'd go crazy if I didn't, lol).

Yay for recovery! :) Lol...I'm 17 & recovering from an eating disorder too.
To be honest your day sounds kind of "safe". Maybe add one or two more challenging things tomorrow.? But I'm glad you've come this far. I know how hard it is!
No food is "bad" or "unhealthy" - it's all about balance, variety, and moderation.
So keep it up girl!

you can treat yourself to a snack or even go out to dinner once and a while and let go.i do that. and iif you feel that you are gaining weight try working out like lefting weights and stuff.thats qood too. keep upp the qood luck !!Health Question & Answer

ull lose weight which i do not think u wanna do
u ate barely any cals for breakfast even w/ the jelly beans and u can have them first thing in the morning it's good to have sugar (which is just good after a workout and breakfast dont go over 30g though) and the carnation instant breakfast and skim milk...how bout whole milk and add a T of PB u need to have some more fat in ur diet
u got the right idea just not portion sizes u need to eat more
dont go low fat low fat is crap when trying to gain weight


though if ur not trying to gain u should add a lil more to breakfast like a glass of milk and w/ ur apple and PB add a glass of milk and ur setHealth Question & Answer

I think you're doing really well! Keep up your hard work because it's really worth it. I recently finished treatment, and I know the effort you're putting in. I think what someone else said about 'safe' food is interesting...those foods you are eating could be incredibly scary for you - but to challenge yourself and really push through recovery, try having one 'unsafe' food each day (i'm not telling you to go eating a bucket of hot chips to demonstrate that you're healthy - nothing like that - but maybe just a bit of something here and there that scares you - to show that YOU have the control, not the disorder. If it really scares you - do it with someone who is supportive - making them proud or making them smile can really give you a boost.
