Question: Can someone tell me if I am doing the right thing to lose weight.? .?
In the morning I am mostly having two egg whites on two slices of 100% whole wheat bread, a slice of cheese, and 1/2 a cup of black coffee with 2 tablespoons of sugar. two hours later i am having a fruit snack, then like at 1pm my lunch is usually a well seasoned chicken breast with broccoli, then I have a low fat yogurt snack, like at 6pm, I have dinner which is usually a piece of meat with vegetables and a cup of white rice(cooked spanish style, "with salt") for the whole day i drink plenty of water, no sodas or fruit juices. Oh, I am not exercising because I have a little girl and don'tt have someone to babysit for me. the only flaws i see in the diet is the sugar and the rice with salt at night. carbs should be kept low after 5 pm . the rest sounds really good though. You are doing the right thing by not starving yourself but maybe you could exercise with your little girl. A stationary bike or something to get your heart rate up for awhile is key to loosing weight and im afraid it is absolutely necessary especially since you are taking the smart route by not under eating.. Good luck and give up the rice at night because that is what i ate at night to gain weight when i was a bodybuilder ( non professional ). remember carbs ( rice ) are for energy and should be eaten before activity..and don't eat much salt remember" salt sucks "as in ( sucks in water ) which can cause bloating. fruit juice with low sugar is good. Aside from the sugar in your coffee you are eating pretty healthy. Replace your white rice with brown rice or other whole grains high in fiber. Make sure you stick to lean meats - white chicken or turkey or fish. Lean red meats once per week.

You can still gert exercise by taking your little girl for a walk or exercising to one of the video programs you can do in front or TV. Or get a treadmill. Point is not to use having little girl as excuse not to exercise.Health Question & Answer

I'd probably go easier on the cheese because of the high fat contend. also the '1/2 a cup of black coffee with 2 tablespoons of sugar' worries me. That is a lot of sugar for 1/2 cup of coffee. The rest sounds really good.
I would also consider exercise. Can you pack your little girl in a stroller and take a brisk walk.? Put her in a seat on a bike.? Have her play on the playground while you walk laps around it.? That way you could still keep an eye on her.Health Question & Answer

Its a great plan for losing weight! Try to add some indoor aerobic exercises though and dont have too many carbs - try to switch that white rice, to brown rice. Any white carbs arnt good for you especially when your not doing exercise.

Switch up your dinner though and every once in a while have soup with vegies and salad.

the list must include other things because this sounds like pretty healthy eating to me

I advise for you to go to your local sporting good store and get some free weights
girls usually stay away from weights but
small weight+repetition = weight loss and toning
really you won't get to big if you use small weights

If there is no struggle then there is no problem
you can't give up you must find a way
what about using you child's naps as a workout time

Sounds like your eating well with not many calories, but you really need to exercise 30 minutes of walking is all you need each day, put your girl in a pram or on a little trike and get out there or when she is sleeping put in a aerobics video and do a 30 minute routine. You should exercise. Just move so that you get your heart rate up. You should try for at least 30 minutes of movement.Try going for a brisk walk with your daughter in the stroller. Make sure that you do increase your time as you start to build up endurance.

You seem to be doing very well, but cheese isn't always the best thing for someone. It's just a slice of cheese though so I don't think it's hurting you at all.

sounds like your on a diet., and in my experience they never, ever work!! dont count calories etc just eat healthily and give yourself a treat now and then so you dont feel deprived. plus on the exercise side you could do an exercise video or take your little girl for a walk with you!Health Question & Answer

Wow, youve got a great diet but heres a few tips to help you edit it.
Substitute the sugar with splenda or sweet 'n low. I would cut out the bread unless you think you really need the grains ect. But honestly you need to be working out. I know you say you dont have anyone to babysit but get a pilates DVD or something like that. An exercise ball and maybe just some 5lb weights! also look up exercises you can do at work or while sitting down if you dont have a desk job, Do leg lifts in the shower. Good luck! You have an excellent diet for weight loss! Consider perhaps using brown rice instead of white to add more whole-grains. You could easily add a workout with your daughter...you could walk/run inside--in place, do jumping jacks, jump rope, do a fitness DVDs, etc. If she's walking, she may enjoy "working out" with mommy. I don't think your effort will go unnoticed. I recently lost 60 lbs. I can honestly say from experience, cutting out high calorie beverages and avoiding butter and oil is an excellent way to get started. But make sure you watch those nutrition labels. Just because something has 0 fat grams doesn't mean its good for you. You got to watch those carbs to. Carbs turn into surgar which turn into fat. I am not saying no carbs, just less. Look for things high in dietary fiber. Raisin bran is great. You can find alot of cereals high in dietary fiber. Oh and in my effort to loose weight, believe it or not i made sandwiches with "wheat" potato bread (also high in dietary fiber). If you do have a taste for butter try a spray butter. Most spray butter has 0 calories 0 fat 0 everything. And if your looking for fast food try chinese. Not just any chinese. Chicken with broccoli. Keep your diet balanced and watch your portion size. That is a wonderful diet plan. You know most people think egg yolks is bad because of the cholesterol but it is actually the good kind of cholesterol. also you should do some sort of calisthenics to increase your weight loss. You can do it directly from home. You should follow something similar to this. Upper body- Monday Yoga- Tuesday Core Body- Wednesday Cardio- Thursday Lower Body- Friday Some sort of martial arts one Saturday. And on Sunday just do some stretches.
