Is my diet healthy? ?!

Question: Is my diet healthy.? .?
I am on a NO carb and NO sugar diet...In about 3 days, I lost about 4 pounds...The only bad thing I can't let go of is my DIET coke. However, I am drinking a lot of water so I can stay hydrated. Do you think this is effective for long term.? Health Question & Answer

Answers:
The weight you lost is water weight. A No carb diet is not only ineffective, but it's verrrry unhealthy. Your body needs carbs, period. The tricky thing is to balance carbs, protein and fat. If you think maybe you were eating too many carbs before, they were probably just the WRONG carbs. Wrong carbs include sodas, candy, white bread, sugary cereals, etc. What you want to do is start eating the RIGHT carbs- Whole Wheat Bread (make sure it's full of fiber), fruits, skim milk, oatmeal, popcorn, brown rice, whole grain pasta, etc. These foods are the carbs your body needs, and they are full of fiber which will make you feel full, not to mention countless other benefits.
Remember, a balanced diet with everrything in moderation is the way to go. You can do it! Good luck!Health Question & Answer
