you wont gain. i promise. IF the scale is up at all, it's just water/food weight. i dont know how many calories you've been eating, but i used to eat 100 a day (burning at least 400) and if i jumped from 100 to 400 i never gained anything.Health Question & Answer

at the caloric levels you're talking about you'll be turning yourself into a most efficient fat storage machine.

losing weight is not the same as losing fat. A lot of people are aware that there are 3500 calories worth of energy from a pound of fat but not so many people are aware that there are 600 calories worth of energy available from a pound of muscle.

However, muscle is very metabolically active and consumes anywhere from 35-50 calories worth of energy per day so if you lose 10 pounds of muscle then you reduce the number of calories your body would otherwise burn naturally by 350 to 500 calories per day.

Over a year, that kind of reduction in your basal metabolic rate can result in gaining up to 52 pounds of fat.

So, yes, you'll lose plenty of "weight" in your scenario but, if or when you ever decide to live again and resume any type of normal eating behavior then you'll be much worse off from a metabolic standpoint than before implementing your plan.

either way you'll end up worse than you are now but will probably be able to garner some much needed extra attention which is the usual benefit sought from this type of behavior.Health Question & Answer

When your body is in starvation mode, it's hard to predict what it will do. Your metabolism can do really crazy things.

The big problem is that the body burns muscle instead of fat when it's in starvation mode, so what happens is that you lose your muscle tone but not your fat.

Muscle burns more energy than fat - so if you start eating normally again, your metabolism is slower and you'll gain weight faster again.

If you are going to eat minimal amounts of food then I suggest you make it high protein to try to minimise these effects.Health Question & Answer

Yes, you can.
Your body will flat out refuse to do the exercise, you will collapse because your body would much prefer to conserve what little food it recieves.
also, just go vegan. I lost 3 kilos (don't know pounds) in three days when I first switched and it is just falling off me.
Not only is it healthy, you get a full stomach and lose weight.Health Question & Answer

it really depends on how long you have been in starvation mode

because eatting anything
and not enough throws your body into trying to save those calories
so it starts taking those little things you eat
and multiplying them by a zillion

so you would have to burn more then 600

but
can you say ew
there goes all your muscle
your going to look like bones...
and trust me its easier getting a guy fat then bones

:P

just get over it
and eat
things could be a lot worse
